Fascinating look into her fathers life and times. So many things I did not know about him. My daughter went to Laurel school and Helga taught there so I read her autographed copy that she had nearly 40 yrs ago.

Empire of the Southern Moon by Gwynne

Wonderful true story of the Comanche nation in the 1800s -mostly in Texas and Mexico. I did not know any of this story and the people involved and found it fasinating reading. I recommend this to anyone wanting to learn of this very important time-1830 to 1900 and the settling of the western US.

This is realy a story of the birth of democracy in ancient Greece from 500BC to 332BC and should be read by everyone to see why the great city of Athens existed for such a short time with all the brillant people thatt were living then. It also lets us see that wars and hatred was rampant with European areas and Persia and her great expanse. We just never seem to learn from history-partly cause noone reads anything they don't want o know about. Like the book Help by Kay Sockett to alert us to the terrible way the negro was treated after WW 2 in our southern states . No wonder there was such a revolt in our country. We just don't study enough history and all we promote is math and science. It should be balanced .

Very exciting book about the workings of our CIA and FBI and government. Lots about guns. working together and not trusting orders and rouge agents, Then not trusting your friends, If you like to learn about the psyche of these elite squads and all the info on the newest guns and equipment this for you.It involved gangs,drugs and a whole diferent life style for many in thWashington D.C> area. He really is a good writer and it's no just a murder story. I couldn't put it down so many tangled stories and they all meshed.
